Over 2013 we’ve also been adding staff to core areas, including Account Management, Customer Service and Marketing, ensuring you and your customers get an even greater level of service. January is generally a bit of a slow month, however there’s no time to sit back. Key events periods include:
Promoting Burns’ Supper Events
A celebration of Scotland’s national poet Robert Burns, Burns’ Night is a great opportunity to have a Scottish themed event where the whisky flows freely!
This celebration of Scotland’s cultural identity will be taking place throughout the UK and as this is the year the people of Scotland decide on the independence debate, it’s bound to be a really memorable, symbolic occasion and one not to be missed!
To get your event featured in our Burns’ Night Guide (http://www.skiddle.com/burnsnight). If you’ve got a Burns’ event taking place 17th January and 26th January, all you’ve got to do is include the words Burns in your event’s title or description to be included in our guide.
Promoting January Payday Weekend Events
Everyone gets paid early in December and having bought Christmas presents with the December pay packet, January is always a tight month, so the relief at the end of this long, miserable, dark month is palpable with a perennial surge in ticket sales.
Promoting Valentine’s Day Events
This is the one you need to be thinking about, we’re about to start our consumer marketing campaign and with Valentine’s Day falling on a Friday this year there’s going to be a load of interest in events.
In the lead up to Valentine’s Day we get hundreds of thousands of people looking at our local and national Valentine’s Day Guides (http://www.skiddle.com/valentines). If you’ve got a Valentine’s day event taking place between 12th February and 16th February all you’ve got to do is include the word valentine in your event’s title or description to be included in our guide.
